Lecce and around

Live Lecce, discover Salento.

A city of art to explore on foot, and two seas half an hour’s drive away.

01 — The city

Two thousand years in a few steps.

Founded by the Messapians and later the Roman Lupiae, Lecce lived its golden age in the seventeenth century, when architects and stonemasons turned the soft local stone into some of the richest façades, balconies and altars of European baroque.

Today the old town is best discovered on foot, among churches, papier-mâché workshops and squares that come alive in the evening.
