A fifteen-minute stroll takes you through Porta San Biagio; a few minutes more and you are in Piazza Sant’Oronzo, where the Roman amphitheatre of ancient Lupiae emerges among the café tables. A little further on, seventeenth-century façades carved in Lecce stone glow honey-gold at sunset.
Here you don’t visit history — you walk through it every day. And in the evening you come back to your own home, with no shared rooms or common areas, for a weekend or a whole month.
